Deutscher Kaffeemorgen
Every Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. (except during the holidays), the Deutscher Kaffeemorgen is a meeting place for all those who speak and learn German. Over coffee, tea and small pastries, there are lectures and discussions on different, but always exciting topics (culture, religion, politics, history, etc.).
Women's Group
The women's group meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 7 pm: a get-together to get to know each other, have fun, exchange ideas, find support and develop projects. We are happy to welcome all newcomers!
Main Services
Eucharist Service in Dublin
Every Sunday at 11 a.m. we celebrate our eucharist service in the traditional form in German at St. Finian's Church in Dublin. On the last Sunday of the month, the service is held in English. In addition to the traditional form, we also celebrate family services and services in other forms (see the calendar for more information).
Services outside Dublin
On the last Sunday of the month there is a German language service in Belfast at 3 p.m. Our pastors also travel around the Republic three times a year and celebrate services in German in Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Cork and Mullingar.
Children's Service
Every first Sunday of the month we celebrate children's service in Dublin. We start the service together with the adults in the church. Then a great programme awaits the children in the Lutherhaus. The service starts at 11 a.m. The language of the Children’s Service is German.
Other Services
SundayNight@StFinians
With our English speaking SundayNight@StFinians service we offer an additional mid-month service at 5 p.m. on Sunday evenings. It is a worship space for different kinds of liturgy. Every second month we follow the order of the Holden Evening Prayer, a sung vespers with music by the contemporary American composer Marty Haugen.
Thursday Prayer
We meet online on Zoom every Thursday at 8 p.m. when we gather for prayer and worship in the tradition of the Taizé community. The prayer is followed by a time of sharing. All are most welcome.
Ecumenical Lunchtime Prayer
Every first Tuesday of the month a group of people from different churches gather for twenty minutes of prayer and a short reflection at 1.05 p.m. at St. Finian’s Church. This short service is followed by tea and having lunch together (please bring your own snack lunch).
